Sugar price increases in Karachi
Ex-mill and whole sale rates of sugar were increased by one rupee per kg in Karachi. The new price of the commodity jumped to Rs75.40.
Market sources claimed that traders from Punjab were buying the commodity from sugar mills of Sindh because Punjab was unable to meet the market requirement.
This situation had a direct effect on the wholesale market and price of sugar increased from Rs 74.40 to Rs 75.40 per kg,
