The operation of the security forces against miscreants in Bajaur agency continues in Bajaur agency.
The security forces targeted positions of the miscreants with shelling from mortars and gunship helicopters in char Mang, Nawagai, Mamoond and Salarzai. According to sources 18 miscreants were killed and several others injured. Seventy percent population of Khar has returned to their homes. People are facing problems due to lack of water, power and food in the area.
And in Kurram agency, fighting continues between the rival groups and 22 people were reportedly killed and 24 injured in overnight clashes. So far 278 people have been killed and 381 injured since the fighting erupted two weeks ago. Peace talks are being held between the warring groups for restoration of peace in Hangu.
