China has consolidated its lead with 44 gold medals of the 12th day of Beijing Olympics.

In women’s windsurfing China's Yin Jian won her country's first-ever Olympic sailing gold medal. Italy’s Alessandra Sensini won the silver while bryony Shaw of Great Britain won the bronze. In the Men's windsurfing event, New Zealand's tom Ashley won the gold medal. World champion Ashley beat off France's Julien Bontemps and Shahar Zubari of Israel with Britain's Nick Dempsey. Russia's Larisa Ilchenko won the gold medal for the women's 10 Kilometres marathon swim in a time of one hour and 59.27 minutes.
Britain's keri-Anne Payne claimed silver and her compatriot Cassandra Patten took the bronze. Russians Anastasia Davydova and Anastasia Ermakova won the Olympic Synchronised swimming gold medal ahead of Spain and Japan. Spain’s Andrea Fuentes and a Mengual got the silver while japan finished third. In men’s 66 kilogram freestyle wrestling Ramazan Sahin of turkey won the gold, beating Andriy Stadnik of Ukraine in the final. India's sushil kumar and otar tushishvili of georgia claimed bronze.
in men’s 74 kilogram freestyle wrestling, Buvaysa Saytiev of Russia, won the gold medal. Soslan Tigiev of Uzbikestan took the silver, while Murad Gaidarov and Kiril Terziev of Bulgaria took the bronze.
